Cable Rises Further On U.S. Fed Minutes

GBP/USD Open 1.6791 High 1.6821 Low 1.6722 Close 1.6790

On Wednesday Pound/Dollar increased with almost 80 pips. The Cable appreciated from 1.6722 to 1.6801 yesterday, in line with the positive money flow sentiment at over +22%, closing the day at 1.6790. Today the British Pound climbed even further, reaching 1.6821.

On the 1 hour chart quotes broke up of the wide trading scope, while on the 3 hour chart the upward channel is making renewal attempts. First resistance is today’s peak at 1.6821. Break above it should extend the bullish movement further towards 1.6944. The nearest support level is yesterday’s bottom at 1.6722. Going below it should extend British Pound’s reduction further down towards next downward objective 1.6600.

Today are UK BoE Interest rate decision and Asset purchase, both at 11 GMT.

Quotes are moving just above the 20 and 50 the EMA on the 1 hour chart, indicating slim bullish pressure. The value of the RSI indicator is positive and calm, MACD is positive and tranquil, while CCI has thinly crossed down the 100 line on the 1 hour chart, giving over all light long signals.
